Tokyo-based BEDWIN & THE HEARTBREAKERS joins once more forces with adidas Originals. The result: a different interpretation of the classic Stan Smith sneaker.
And while plenty are looking to adidas right now for upcoming collaborations with big names like Kanye West and Pharrell, the beloved Japanese label returns to the shelves: BEDWIN & THE HEARTBREAKERS has taken cues from its 2014 Spring/Summer Collection by applying a multicoloured paint splatter effect to the clean white canvas of the adidas Stan Smith upper. Standout details include the red heel tab with three stripe branding and special text branding at the heel counter and tongue. This decorative upper is juxtaposed with a clean white rubber outsole. In other words, this special collaboration takes the timeless white silhouette and adds an artsy splatter-effect in the three primary colors, rounding it off with a red heel tag and striped blue insole. They keep their variation rather minimal with a splatter effect that offer a unique aesthetic to the timeless model. The adidas Originals by BEDWIN & THE HEARTBREAKERS 2014 Spring/Summer Stan Smith is available now at selected retailers like Oneness and atmos.
And in case you were still wondering (which we seriously doubt), yes, 2014 definitely is the year of the adidas Stan Smith. Because it just can’t stop growing in both legend and popularity.
