“At the Barber’s” by Maison Martin Margiela, a new fragrance from the evocative Replica collection, “replicates” an experience, a specific time and place. We love it. Honoring all things vintage, Maison Martin Margiela have launched a line of fragrances providing a sense of olfactory nostalgia for scents of times gone by. The latest fragrance for gentlemen, “At the Barber’s” transports you to an old-school barber shop (in 1992 Madrid), enveloping your skin like a creamy, fragrant aftershave. As obscurely detailed as that sounds, the scent actually recreates that feeling of being around soapsuds, fresh white towels, and shaving creams, with woodsy and leathery notes made up of basil, lavender, tonka beans, and white musk. To launch the new scent, Margiela also introduced #smellslikememories, a virtual exhibition by photographers around the world capturing inspiration images for each Replica perfume, “At the Barber’s” included. You can shop At the Barber’s and Tea Escape exclusively at Barneys starting November 1.
