Cars And Films is a series of prints paying homage to quite a few great films and the iconic vehicles that starred in them by graphic and web designer Jesús Prudencio. Based out of Seville, Spain, Prudencio embarked on this passion project with a simple, clean perspective. While most illustrators focus on the characters as the key players in a film, this series manages to encapsulate the spirit of each respective movie with just a side shot of a car. Four wheel lovers will appreciate this to the core, since exceptional vehicles can easily -without a shadow of a doubt- steal any star’s thunder at the drop of a hat.
From the dreamy and hippie “Little Miss Sunshine” VW T1, to “Roman Holiday”‘s Paperina vespa, and “Mr. Bean”‘s old Mini, to “Bonnie and Clyde“‘s bullet holed Ford V8 and James Bond’s majestic Aston Martin from “Goldfinger”, the series presents a wide range of vehicles that significantly identify their respective films. Each mode of transportation is iconically displayed like a movie poster, needing nothing more to capture the essence of each feature film.
And what about Jesús Prudencio? He is a graphic, web designer and illustrator from Badajoz, currently living in Seville, Spain. Who has a Bachelor’s Degree of Fine Arts in Graphic Design from the University of Seville and has worked in several studios as Fabulario (a graphic design studio) as co-founder and creative director. Now,he is a freelance graphic designer.
