Christophe & Co. Armills smart bracelet designed by Pininfarina

British High Jewellery brand Christophe & Co. developed in collaboration with Pininfarina a smart bracelet.

Known as “Armills”, the pieces are a modern interpretation of an ancient symbol of royalty and valor in battle (often worn for symbolic protection or to designate one’s own esteemed status), blending luxury and technology into a wearable accessory for the rich and famous.

Christophe & Co. began with the premise  to create an ultra high-end wearable jewellery piece that incorporates high tech, but focuses on men.

Each Christophe & Co. Armill will be produced in Britain and begins with a carbon fiber inner frame (with is apparently also produced in Britain). The 18-carat gold cuffs are available in three different editions: Virtus priced at $75,000 (limited edition of 300), the rose gold and diamond-encrusted Orion priced at $93,000 (limited edition of 100), and the Apollo, which is adorned with 1,500 hand-set pavé diamonds priced at $149,000 (limited edition of only 25).

The Bluetooth and NFC-enabled device will grant you access to exclusive clubs across the world; The concierge service is also included at no charge for three years for Apollo owners, 2 years for Orion owners, and 1 year for Virtus owners. These benefits include invite-only high profile social events, access to member’s clubs, benefits at top restaurants, and sold out sporting events. The tech components are modular so they can be upgraded, and will be powered by kinetic energy generated by your movements, the company claiming that the power reserve can be up to one year.

The bracelets are available for pre-order here.
