Belgian designer Raf Simons and EASTPAK revealed their fourth highly collectable collaboration, during Paris Fashion Week. Now this collection is about to hit stores globally…The much-anticipated collaboration between the Belgian fashion designer and the giant is releasing soon. Adding his own luxurious touch to the iconic Eastpak backpack, a selection of satin versions of the silhouette is presented with embroidered branding on the upper. Realized on EASTPAK’s iconic backpacks, the innovative techniques of design such as the blind hems and the hidden sewings create a discreet and harmonious game of patterns and shapes. By employing matching high end silky Jaquard fabrics and polished hardware it fits almost seemlessly in Raf Simons’ upcoming Fall/Winter 2013-2014 collection, which saw its debut during Paris Fashion Week, on January 16th.
Subtle detailing and innovative construction techniques, such as blind hems and hidden stitching create a discrete, yet premium, avant garde overall look and feel. Looser silhouettes, unbuttoned French cuffs and soft colors, that dandyish sensibility extended to the bags the models carried, representing the fourth installment of the designer’s collaboration with EASTPAK.
The Raf Simons x EASTPAK collection will be available from selected retailers as of June 2013 in two striped patterns and two color blocks (purple, navy blue, black/silver and brown/navy blue).
