Our inbox was filled with tricky shades of electric blue, ruby red, black and white. Because photographer Lucas Zimmermann transforms with his camera, a Canon 5D Mark II, mundane traffic lights in Weimar, Germany into an enchanting light show. “Traffic Lights” was captured late at night on a foggy, vacant intersection. Lucas Zimmermann created the pictures taking 5-30 second long exposures, to capture the beams shinning into the distance, while experimenting with many different shutter speeds. As all the colours and lights melt together, your eye is drawn further (and deeper, may we add), into the photographs.
